Magnesium
Lime
Magnesium Limestone CaMg(Co3)2 is formed in the same way as Limestone, but the sedimentation process occurs in the presence of magnesium resulting in a dolomitisation process. Typical Neutralising Values are 54%NV.

We keep good stocks of Mag lime all year round and is an excellent spreading material.

Calcium Lime
Limestone is a sedimentary rock, it is formed from the remains of microscopic foraminifera. Typical Limestone Neutralising Values, vary depending on source of parent rock. Scottish calcium lime ranges between 40-45% NV, English 50-54%, chalk lime which is less denser then Limestone.
We stock Scottish screened limestone and English Ground lime at our store near Forfar. However, we can arrange delivery and spreading of other calcium limes, no problem- Just Ask!

Chalk
Chalk lime is less dense then Limestone and is a fantastic nuralising product. Fine partical size means this product is quick reacting.
